On Saturday at Kahana, paraglider pilots and friends will gather for a small and informal barbecue, starting as early as 10:00 AM. We'll fly if weather permits, otherwise we'll be flying the grill and the cooler. Either way, we're hoping to just spend some quality time together doing what we do best, flying, celebrating, and supporting each other. We're not planning any formal program or service - it will just be a good chance for many of us to remember Bob in our own way. Feel free to bring flowers or leis. Several pilots are camping Friday night: Jeff, Thom, Ginny, and Jim. Contact them if you'd like to join the overnight crew.

We expect Bob's family members to join us for both events. Stay tuned for details on the timing. We'll update this article as the weekend draws closer.

I just checked back onto windlines after months and saw the shocking news. Bob was one of the first Hawaiian Paragliders Bill and I met when we brought our PGs back to Hawaii. I will miss him so much. I never forget the keys around his neck, his nice big smile and gentle way.
