Nine pilots enjoyed a surprisingly sweet day of thermaling yesterday. We were blessed with a perfect window of
XC conditions, and it was a fun challenge to try and connect the thermals between Kualoa and Sacred Falls, following the ‘Iwas and tropicbirds to the best lift. Tropicbirds don't turn gracefully like ‘Iwas, but instead they tend to dart around crazily in the lift like the shearwaters at Makapuu. It was a pleasure searching for the cores with Thom, Joey and Woody. Also great to see Jonathan, George, Bryce, McStalker, and visitor Nick. See everyone in a few weeks.
