Yesterday's tasty prefrontal conditions brought us our second long day of Diamond Head flying this season. Almost twenty air-starved pilots showed up, and people were in the air from morning til late afternoon, on wings of all shapes and sizes, as the wind gradually mellowed from its early morning spiciness. Many textbook top landings were made throughout the day, as well as some not found in any textbook!
After it got too light, a couple of determined souls hiked up to launch at another nearby head, and they squeaked in a flight before sunset, followed by a sudsy bromantic engagement party for Scrappy and Frank.
Roll call as far as I can remember: Jorge, Dave, me, Joey, Brent, TommyRD, Thom, Frank, Brian, Dop, Jeff, K’Larry; New Mexicans Bill, Sean, Charlie, Mel, and Jills; return visitor Akami from Japan.
