Rat Race and WCPC Registration this Friday

Our pals Mike and Gail are running two competitions at Woodrat Mountain this year, the annual Rat Race event from July 6-12 and the first-time West Coast PG Championships from June 8-14.

If you are at all interested in either of these events I urge you to register this Friday, February 15, when registration opens, since they tend to fill up fast. You can sign up by mail or use their website. I am going to sign up for the Rat Race again this year - any other Hawaii Monkeys interested? And I am also hoping I can make it to the Nationals in the Owens Valley this fall.

Alex,
You should give these guys some lessons in web page design.

Hey now, Berndt, take it easy, all competition organizers struggle with website design, and they have a lot more issues to handle than we do - registration database, online credit card processing, polls, timely result publication, etc. Ours is just a blog. But thanks for the compliment! Our design is just a slightly modified template we got from whatever was available at blogger.com when we set it up.

Just to clarify one point - it's worth signing up on Friday, Feb. 15 to reserve your chance to be in the first pool of potential participants. If you decide later that you can't afford it or your schedule changes, there is a very reasonable cancellation policy:

Cancel before April 15, 2008 $25.00 Fee
April 16 - May 15, 2008 $75.00 Fee
May 16 - June 15, 2008 $150.00 Fee
June 16 or after, No refund

I am planning on signing up for the Rat Race, especially since I had to miss it last year -- but if I hear of alot of enthusiasm amongst our group for a different trip, I'd like to hear about it.

How about it? Who's going where? Time to get off the pot and go!
