Final Push for Quentin

Quentin's campaign is in the final stretch, and he could use a little more sign-waving help from his flying buddies - let's do what we can to send Hawaii's first paragliding legislator to the capitol. Thanks to everyone who has been able to join us for our previous sessions. If you have any time on the following days, please consider coming out to help - call me or Pete to coordinate.

Today, Thursday, Oct. 30th, 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Auloa Road (Pali Hwy. between Castle Medical Center and Le Jardin Academy, at the Maunawili exit).

Friday Morning (Halloween), October 31st, 6:30 to 8:30 am (Quentin will be there from 5:30 to 9:30) at Castle Medical Center.

Monday Morning Nov. 3rd, 6:30 to 8:30 am (Quentin will be there from 5:30 to 9:30) at Castle Medical Center.

Monday Afternoon, Nov. 3rd 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Auloa Road (Pali Hwy. between Castle Medical Center and Le Jardin Academy).

Tuesday, Election Day, Nov. 4th, three shifts to cover the whole day from 6 to 6, at Keolu Elementary.

This last one is important! Quentin needs to have all seven precincts covered all day - studies have shown that if voters don't see a candidate's sign on the way into the polling place they can't remember who to vote for! Just kidding. Anyway, I promised Quentin that his flying friends would handle one of those precincts. Looks like they're giving us the Keolu precinct. Me and Bob and Ray have committed to the first shift, from 6 to 10. We need another three folks for the 10-2 shift and another three for the 2-6 shift. Call me if you think you might have time to help out! Thanks!

Alex (223-0144).

Thanks to Reaper, Kui, Joey, Caroline and Matty for coming out today - we got the chance to wave signs in the rain, which we've heard is worth twice the votes! If anyone has time Monday or Tuesday, please consider joining us! We do manage to have some fun out there!

That was fun. Hey, even if you only 1/2 hour or more it all helps. You also get a cool t-shirt, and free beer... Sorry, Kui & Matty no beer for you!

We still need a few more people to help cover the Keolu Elementary polling site on Tuesday. So far we have:

Shift1, 6-10: Alex, Bob, Ray, Steve

Shift2, 10-2:

Shift3, 2-6:

We're aiming for 3 people per shift. Reaper, Berndt, and Chopper Dave have told me they're available - let me know which shift you guys want.

Anyone else? Please call me at 223-0144 if you think you might be able to help out. Otherwise I'll probably be calling you!

And don't forget, Quentin and friends will be at the Shack in Kailua down the street after the polls close, to watch the returns and do some celebrating.

I'll take the 10 to 2 shift... Who's gonna hang with me & Kui?

Thanks to everyone who has said they can help! We still need a few more people. I just found out the goal is four people per shift. So far we have:

6-10: Alex, Bob, Ray, Steve
10-2: Reaper, Dave, Emmy, (?)
2-6: (?), (?), (?), (?)

Please call me if you might be able to help, otherwise I might be calling you! Thanks again.

Slight reshuffling! Reaper switched to the last shift when I pointed out that it will transition smoothly to the Shack down the street for the election returns party.

Still need two more volunteers each for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

6-10: Alex, Bob, Ray, Steve
10-2: Dave, Emmy, (?), (?)
2-6: Reaper, Joey, (?), (?)

Waiting to hear from anyone who can help out.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out for sign-waving at the Keolu polling site yesterday. Bob, Steve, Chopper Dave, his wife Emmy, Reaper, Joey, Wayne, Suicide, Hillery, P3, honorary PG pilot Mike, and others. You guys are amazing! And thanks to everyone else who came out to show your support during this long campaign. Quentin may not have won this election but I think he is a big winner for having friends like you guys.
