2010 US Competition Schedule

Rob Sporrer, our Region 3 Director, just sent me this list of the USHPA sanctioned paragliding competitions for 2010, as well the first Paragliding World Cup to be held in North America since the early 90s. The Chelan XC Open and the Sun Valley Competitions will be scored cumulatively to determine the 2010 Paragliding National Champion.

May 2 to 10 - Florida Ridge - Dave Prentice
Jun 13 to 19 - Rat Race - Mike Haley
Jul 10 to 15 - Chelan XC Open (PG Nationals) - Doug Stroop
Aug 28 to Sep 5 - Sun Valley (PG Nationals) - Mike Pfau

July 18-24 - Paragliding World Cup, Chelan, WA - Doug Stroop

Looks like I'll be heading to the Rat race and most likely the Nats. I love Chelan :D

For those of you who can't wait until next summer for some good thermal flying, Jorge and I are headed to Valle do Bravo, Mexico in January for the Monarca Open. Valle is one of the best winter XC sites this side of the equator.
It runs January 24th to the 30th, cheap and easy living, good flying in the middle of winter. Jump in if you are interested.
