Kahana Beach Clean-Up

This Sunday, April 3rd, Kahana needs your help. A few of the valley residents are trying to get a monthly cleanup of Kahana beach going, to occur on the first Sunday of each month. I met them last month, on their first day. It was just two girls, out there raking up debris on the beach – but they expressed that they wanted to make it a monthly effort and hoped to find more folks to help out. I told them that I would come help next time, and that I'd spread the word to other pilots...

I think this is a great opportunity to give a little something back to Kahana, and to foster a relationship with the residents. No obligation - just come help out for an hour, if you can – hopefully, before or after a nice flight! I'm thinking, if even 5 or 10 pilots can chip in one hour, that's a heck of a lot of cleaning. We could even bring a couple grills and some grinds and coolers, and make a day of it too :)

I’ll bring a couple of rakes and a box of contractor trash bags. I’ve never done this before, so I don’t know what else we’d need. Shovels? Maybe a wheelbarrow?

Please reply below if you think you can make it. And if you can’t, maybe next month!

Aloha!
