Careful What You Wish For

As I wrote recently, I have been sorely wishing for more company as I explore the exciting cross country capabilities of my new wing. My usual weekday cross country wingmen have been out of action: either traveling, nursing old injuries, or out with the plague. Well, the traveling wingman has returned in top form, with medals and trophies from his exploits in France.

And if I had any doubts about Mad Dog keeping up with my new rocket ship, our flight yesterday certainly erased them. He crossed the bay perfectly on his first try, whereas I had to try twice. And he schooled me in thermaling as he always does, rising way above my level many times. Welcome back, Mad Dog. I look forward to more schooling. I'll do my best to keep up with you in this old heap of space junk!

Roll call: Woody, Mad Dog, me, Chris, Jason, Bonnie, Jim, and Gaza. Thanks to Duck for the pizza party afterwards!

Welcome back Mad Dog, maybe you should go to Rat Race and drag Alex along in the big boys class. Fireman Dave already kinda gave me the maybe, so he's coming.

I am going but in the sprint class, as I promised Alex I would compete if he moved up to the Big Boys class.

I am sure when time gets close we can get more to go and make it a real Hawaiian Invasion.

Keep cracking the whip on Alex, he thinks he needs it.

Thanks for the Log Mr. President, I enjoyed the read with my Cranberry Juice.
