Cold Sunset

Oh please please please, let us have more extra-ordinary days like this: extra north, extra cold, extra high cloud base, extra waterfalls, extra gorgeous sunset. As predicted, the weekend wind and rain were gone by the end of the day. A half dozen jonesing junkies scored some sweet and chilly airtime at Kahana.

I got to 3,300 feet over Kaaawa and I never got close to the clouds. I didn't think I'd need my gloves, but boy was I wrong. It was incredibly cold up there. I could practically see my breath! And if it hadn't been so late in the day it would have been very interesting to head further uprange. Maybe the next few days will give us some more chances for that!
